s13 initial damages

It took me a very long time to get past this, and to this date there is still an open court case, but I am going to use this as a cathartic way of moving on. If nothing else, blogging should be able to accomplish that.

This is my 1994 nissan 200sx s13 from the UK sitting in my garage in the States. Full European spec, in perfect drive-able condition when she boarded the boat.

Without going too much into the case before it's resolved, I'll just go over the facts. My s13 was delivered in this state.

It arrived via a COMMERCIAL HAULING COMPANY on the back of a UHAUL TOW DOLLY with THE REAR WHEELS ROLLING ON THE GROUND.

The transmission tunnel was destroyed. The drive shaft was missing entirely. The tires were flat spotted. The mid-bearing of the drive shaft was violently removed. There were dents under the petrol tank. The underside of the transmission tunnel appeared to have been hit thousands of times. The center console was destroyed. The main carpet was ripped. The radio face plate was missing.

The tow truck driver picked up both cars at 11am that day from customs, not to be delivered until midnight that night, a 13 hour drive that normally takes 3.5 from the port.

Pieces of the center console were still inside the car.

The s14a thankfully arrived with all four wheels off the ground, albeit on an ATV tilt-up, single axle trailer. Due to the inadequate size of said trailer, however, side rails were touching the wheels. Based on the size of the drivers, there is no way they had been able to steer it from the inside to get the car onto the trailer and open the door sufficiently, or at all, to exit. I can only imagine how it was loaded.

Based on the damages to the s13 however, there was not much to say about scratches on wheels of the s14a.

Break time, all the caffeines would be needed for the upcoming weeks.
